voting for a friend

Friday, September 19th, 2008

I have been putting this task aside for too long. I didn’t know the deadline, and, well, if he didn’t send me that SMS reeking of desperation, I probably would not have posted until a few months from now. Despite this being a last minute thing, I hope this vote gets through. Here goes nothing.

I AM VOTING FOR CHAIRELL WINSTON ALMENDRAS OF BATANGYAGIT.COM FOR THE BLOGGERS’ CHOICE AWARD OF THE 2008 PHILIPPINE BLOG AWARDS. Why so? First and foremost, I vote for him because I know him. I wouldn’t, for the life of me, vote for someone whose existence I am oblivious to. Anyway, Kuya Winston has been a really great friend, and I would say that his blog deserves the chance to win, heck, he even deserves this award, as his diligence in letting everyone know his thoughts, despite the sensitivity of some, reminds others (specifically people like me) of a humanness of which we are not alone in experiencing.

Yeah. That made my nose bleed, but anything for a friend, right? Anyway, they posted this list of sponsors at the official site of The 2008 Philippine Blog Awards, and I guess it wouldn’t hurt if I posted it as well. So for the people who made the Philippine Blog Awards possible, thank you (even if I’m nowhere near celebrating the event with my more active counterparts, and by that, I mean bloggers).

Good night, everyone, and Kuya Winston, if you’re reading this, I hope you nail that award. Let me know what happens!!!
